THE FARM
As I mentioned on the front page, it is just a little upstart farm. We just got started with some very basic planting. A few herbs, some tomatoes (not doing to well) and a little mini citrus grove.

The main problem with the Garden, is the fact that I have Emphysema and can't do much of the actual work, so Allen gets stuck with most of that. Not very fair, so I have to hold it down with the work thing.

Jan 3rd 2010. It got a little cold in Florida and here is a photo of the covered raised vegetable bed, all ready for the frost announced for tonight .
      
Then there are my new little blood orange trees, they arrived just before the frost was announced. So what to do with those new little trees. Don't laugh, they found a temporary home in the breakfast room :

Time for an update on those little blood orange trees, only one of them made it though the winter of 2011. I have added another navel orange since then and this time I will try and find an older blood orange to replace the one we lost in the hope that a more mature tree has a better chance that first winter.
